CIS Cup 2026 Preliminares of the TangoBA Festival and Dance World Cup
The CIS Cup 2026 is the official qualifying stage of the TangoBA Festival and Dance World Cup, held as part of the Open Asia Argentine Tango Cup & Festival.
The competition brings together top couples from the CIS countries and international participants, providing the opportunity to continue their competitive journey on the global Argentine tango stage.

Winners receive:
    •    Advancement to the next stage of the TangoBA Festival and Dance World Cup
    •    Entry into the quarterfinals or semifinals of the Mundial de Tango in Buenos Aires (depending on category and official regulations)
    •    Paid airfare and accommodation to participate in the corresponding stage
    •    International recognition of status and results

Participating countries: CIS, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Syria, Libya, Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Palestine, Iraq, Turkey


MetropoliTango World Cup
The MetropoliTango World Cup is an official stage of the international MetropoliTango Championship, held as part of the festival.
This stage is open to participants from all countries and gives dancers the opportunity to continue competing in the European stage of the championship.

Winners receive:
• Advancement to the next stage of the MetropoliTango World Cup
• Entry into the quarterfinals or semifinals of the MetropoliTango Championship in Italy (depending on category and official regulations)
• Official international recognition of results

Participating countries: No restrictions
Tango Cafe Trophy
The Tango Cafe Trophy is the signature tournament of the Tango Cafe brand, combining the classical musical heritage of tango with a competitive format.
The tournament includes PRO/AM and AM/AM categories, as well as the unique Tango Cafe Trophy category, where the result is evaluated based on the combined scores of 5 dances:
• Tango Di Sarli
• Tango D’Arienzo
• Tango Pugliese
• Vals
• Milonga

Prominent figures have been invited to the judging panel, whose contributions have brought Argentine tango to life and fostered its development in Kazakhstan.
  • Lukash Stanislav
    Tango Avenue
    Lukash Stanislav is an Argentine tango teacher and the founder of Tango Avenue Studio (Almaty).
    He is an ambassador of the Kazakhstango Marathon and the Astana Tango Festival.

    He has been dancing Argentine tango for 8 years, focusing in his teaching on the quality of connection in the couple, musicality, and conscious movement. He works with beginners and intermediate dancers, couples, as well as solo students.
  • Kumarbek Baiserkeyev
    TANGOBLAST Academy
    Certified Argentine Tango instructor, official representative of TANGOBLAST Academy in Almaty, under the guidance of the legendary maestro Sebastián Arce.
    Founder of the stylish Argentine Tango studio Estudio Brillante, where training follows the methodology of the great Maestro Arce, combining impeccable technique with elegance, musicality, and the authenticity of Argentine culture.
  • Oleg Dzhumakhanov
    Havana Buenos Aires
    In 2005, he founded the first social dance school in Kazakhstan, offering classes in Argentine tango, salsa, bachata, and kizomba.
