Michael Nadtochi has been professionally involved in dance for over thirty years. He began dancing at the age of ten in Moscow, Russia. Since then, dance has been the main focus of his life. By the age of eighteen, his success as a performer on the world stage of ballroom dance earned him the title of national champion of Russia among youth. In 1998, he moved to the United States to further pursue his dance career.
Over the past 20 years, Michael has fully focused on performing and teaching the art of Argentine Tango. In the U.S., he founded the Argentine Tango Academy and created the educational project The Tango Method.
His extensive list of teachers includes Carlos Gavito, Osvaldo Zotto, Julio Balmaceda, and many others who inspired him on his path to discovering his own Tango style.
As a creative person, Michael believes that the greater goal than becoming a great dancer is the process of self-discovery. Lessons and various workshops are merely tools for acquiring the necessary technique, which allows a person to understand who they truly are and express their unique personality through the language of dance.
Elvira’s entire life has been connected to dance and music. She is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer with over 30 years of dance experience and more than 20 years of teaching experience. She studied and worked in various dance styles, including classical ballet, folk dance, contemporary dance, jazz-modern, and classical Indian dance. Her interest in Tango came through contact improvisation in 2009.
She began teaching Tango in 2016 in Asia. Since 2017, she has been teaching in Russia, first in Saint Petersburg and later in Moscow, at schools such as Planetango, La Milonga, and Tango Mio. With seminars and performances, she has visited many cities in Russia and has also performed in Europe and Argentina.
In 2019, she became the Russian champion in the Milonguero category (Argentine Tango Championship “Milonga Russia”).
Key figures in her Tango development were Alejandra Mantinian, Julio Balmaceda, Vanesa Villalba, Facundo Piñero, and many others.
