About the Event
The Open Asia Argentine Tango Cup & Festival is an international Argentine tango festival bringing together professionals and amateurs from around the world.
For 9 days, Almaty will become the hub of the global tango community, hosting international-level competitions, masterclasses with world champions, concerts with a live orchestra, gala shows, and milongas.
Argentine tango, included in UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, is presented at the festival as a universal language of culture, dialogue, and art.

Musical Accompaniment

Maksim Gerasimov Tango (formerly known as Inside Tango) is a Moscow-based organization behind a number of major Argentine tango festivals and tournaments, including theatrical and stage-oriented projects.
Under the Inside brand, large-scale tango festivals and international events are held in Russia, featuring leading Russian dancers, champions, and international judges. The organizers place strong emphasis on the quality of both the competitive and educational programs, inviting recognized masters, finalists, and tango champions to participate in various event formats.
